Reverse Operation without Regmarks

  • Reverse Operation productions can now be used to produce jobs without printed registration marks by utilizing Edge Recognition.
  • This enables unprinted jobs to be produced from both sides with precise front-to-back registration.
  • Inkjet Marking Module layers can be produced on the front side before cutting operations are produced on the backside within the same production.
  • Reverse Operation without regmarks does not require table rulers, but a camera is required.

Unconditional Extra Tool Lift

  • Extra tool lift can now be applied on a per -job basis, independent of the selected material.
  • This helps prevent the tool and/or measuring foot from scratching warped or uneven materials during idle movements.
  • When enabled, the tool lifts an additional 10mm when moving between curves.

Designed for efficient production

Kongsberg PCS continues to enhance software workflows that support efficient, reliable production. By reducing manual intervention and simplifying file handling, iPC helps operators move faster from design to cutting.

PDF metadata workflow

iPC expands support for PDF metadata, enabling a more efficient and consistent workflow from design to production.

With new functionality in the Kongsberg ai-cut plug-in, metadata can be generated directly in Adobe Illustrator and passed through to iPC. This includes information such as flute direction, preview images, and QR code locations.

Production files are then prepared automatically in iPC, without the need for manual editing. Operators can also define the number of copies during output, further automating job preparation.

Key benefits

  • Expanded PDF metadata support
  • New ai-cut plugin features for design software
  • Automatic transfer of production-critical data
  • Reduced manual preparation steps and improved consistency

Revised layout workflow

The updated layout workflow in iPC makes it easier to browse, select, and prepare files for production, particularly for unprinted cutting applications.

A new file explorer has been added, allowing operators to browse through local and network file locations directly within iPC. Jobs can be previewed and dragged directly into the layout, enabling a simple drag-and-drop workflow from file selection to production.

This streamlined process reduces job setup time and makes it easier for operators to prepare jobs without complex file handling.
