MultiCam HPGL Language Summary The MultiCam controller can interpret 2 languages HPGL and EIA-274D (G Codes). This command summary serves as a guide for both new and experienced HPGL users. The following table lists the supported HPGL codes for the MultiCam controller interface. The MultiCam control systems internally translates HPGL. This document describes all supported HPGL programming commands along with extensions to support special Z-axis requirements. Feedrates Depth and Tool Lift can be set by the file or by the machines keypad interface. If the Feedrates Depth and Tool lift are set at the machine prior to the file being sent, the file will override all those values set at the machine. If no value is sent then the machine uses the value programmed at the keypad. Uses for this Document: Post Processor or driver creation to interface CAM or Graphics software output with the MultiCam Controller. Code level trouble shooting and file creation. Special Notes Machine Automation recommends that all files are written in absolute mode. Some of the early routing systems do no support relative arc commands. (Commands higlited in gray in the table below are not recommended.) HPGL Resolution = 1016 units/inch or 40 units/millimeter The MultiCam control system ignores the HPGL VS command. ;IN; must be sent at the beginning of the file and precede any other command. HPGL Command Table The following table contains the supported Words within brackets ([]) are optional arguments and words within braces ( ) are exclusive-OR arguments. All commands MUST be terminated by a semi-colon or a linefeed. Spaces can NOT be substituted for required commas in the syntax of a command. All z axis arguments are valid only if 3D mode is set. All commands are integers unless otherwise specified. |
