Collet Spindle Options

MultiCam carries top of the line spindles from Colombo. Form our years experience and testing we have found these spindles to be the best performance value for the dollar.

MultiCam Spindle Advantages

  • Low, easy Maintenance - No Lubrication, the only maintenance needed is to keep the cover nut and collet clean.
  • Auto Starting - The spindle is automatically started at the beginning of the file and turned off at the end.
  • Digital Spindle Speed - Digital, programmable spindle speed gives real time feedback of the current spindle speed. Exact spindle speeds can be entered in the files and adjusted at the keypad in real time.
  • Torque Monitoring - The current draw of the spindle is displayed on the keypad during cutting. This allows the user to monitor the cutter for wear.
  • Standard Collets - All spindles use standard ER collets. ER collets are inexpensive and are readily available.

The spindle inverter drives communicate with our CNC controller via Modbus.This enables us to give instantaneous velocity commands with no accuracy deviations or analog reference drifting. In addition this advanced communication technique allows the current draw to be monitored at the user interface. This is useful for keeping track of tool wear and setting feedrates.
