MultiCam Inc. names Richard Carey Water Jet Engineer and Scott Weber Water Jet Support Specialist.
The former Calypso WaterJet Engineering Manager and former Calypso WaterJet Technical Support Manager will assist with MultiCam’s rapid growth in the CNC water jet cutting market. 9 February 2009 MultiCam Inc., manufacturer of CNC cutting systems, is proud to announce the addition of Scott Weber and Richard Carey to its team of cutting solution experts.
Mr. Carey, who had been the Engineering manager at Calypso WaterJet, will be in charge of MultiCam’s water jet engineering and product development. Mr. Carey is a well respected member of the Water Jet community and has 19 years experience with Water Jet cutting technology. He will focus on engineering and development as it relates to growing the overall MultiCam water jet product offering. Prior to Calypso WaterJet, Mr. Carey was a Water Jet Controls Engineer at Romeo Engineering.
Mr. Weber, who had been the Technical Support Manager at Calypso WaterJet, will work to advance MultiCam’s water jet application and technical support capabilities. Mr. Weber has over 9 years supporting CNC water jet customers. He will use this experience to grow MultiCam’s world wide support infrastructure and help to insure that MultiCam technology centers around the world employ the best support techniques possible.
MultiCam is committed to ongoing investment in future development. The addition of Mr. Carey and Mr. Weber will play an important role in the growth of MultiCam’s CNC water jet cutting solutions. During Fabtech 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Mr. Eddie Paul of EP Industries signed autographs in the MultiCam booth. The event was a huge success, enabling fans and followers to meet Mr. Paul up close and personal.

Industries, Inc. is a concept design organization powered by Founder and President Eddie Paul along with a highly skilled team of specialists dedicated to the research, development, and manufacture of specific technologies. Established in 1970 and headquartered in El Segundo, California, E.P. Industries combines numerous capabilities including prototype design, product development, CNC machining and manufacturing, and complete automotive fabrication, restoration and customizing. Eddie Paul uses a MultiCam 3000 Series Plasma machine in his shop. Mr. Paul has recently completed the car series from Disney’s movie “Cars”. |

MultiCam introduces new 4000 Series Water Jet

MultiCam, Inc. is pleased to announce the new 4000 Series Waterjet to the arsenal of waterjet machines. With an improved and integrated tank and cantilever beam the new 4000 Waterjet is the right choice for a variety of applications. The beams for X and Y axis have been optimized for stiffness and rigidity. Another design element of the new 4000 Series is the X and Y lube points are accessible from the outside covers making maintenance easier and faster.

The new MultiCam Drill and Tap accessory for the 6000 Bridge and Rail Plasma Series was designed for metal fabricators looking to streamline production and minimize part handling; the new accessory allows operators to drill, tap, countersink and create high-definition contour cuts on one machining center.
Offered as an option to the 6000 Bridge and Rail Plasma Series, the new accessory is geared toward metal fabricators manufacturing ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Additional accessories offered by the 6000 Series Plasma include Oxy-Fuel torches and high RPM air scribes. |

New from MultiCam, Inc.; the 7000 Series CNC Router is specifically designed for high speed nested based cabinet production and other heavy woodworking applications. With maximum speeds of up to 3500 inches per minute, the heavy all steel gusseted, stress relieved plate frame design provides vibration free cutting. To complement the frame design, MultiCam incorporated 35 mm linear bearings to accommodate heavy accessories and rapid accelerations.
The 7000 Series Router is available in a wide range of standard table sizes, spindle configurations, and useful options such as gang drills and aggregate heads commonly utilized in woodworking applications. Newly Designed MultiCam 5000 Series CNC Router

The popular MultiCam 5000 Series moving gantry CNC router has received a complete makeover with a new frame, new linear bearings, and a powerful closed-loop servo system.
The new all steel gusseted and stress relieved plate frame design increases the 5000 Series overall weight by 25 percent providing vibration free cutting. The heavier frame assembly also accommodates useful options such as gang drills and aggregate heads commonly utilized in woodworking applications. To complement the frame design, MultiCam incorporated 25 mm linear bearings to accommodate heavy accessories and rapid accelerations. The 5000 Series Router is available in a wide range of standard table sizes and spindle configurations to meet most application requirements.
Frame and bearing design changes were a prerequisite to implementing the new and very powerful Eclipse digital servo systems. The Eclipse design includes high power drives and high torque motors that provide unprecedented cut and slew speeds at extreme accelerations. |
