MultiCam announces new Roller Hold Down Machine

MultiCam, Inc., a leading manufacturer of CNC Router, Laser, Plasma, WaterJet and Knife Cutting Machines is pleased to introduce an important addition to its popular CNC Router product line. The MultiCam 5104-R-XD Roller Hold Down machine is designed for high- speed panel processing and provides optional material load and unload capabilities to assist the operator. The MultiCam 5104-R-XD will have its European debut in Hanover, Germany at Ligna, with a US debut at the AWFS show in Las Vegas. The 5104-R-XD features two sets of heavy-duty roller hold down cylinders that provide a rigid material holding system to align and cut multiple sheets of difficult materials such as plywood. A high-flow vacuum table is also standard for applications requiring vacuum fixturing. Other features include 35mm linear ball bearing rails for maximum rigidity, 16hp (24,000 RPM) spindle, digital AC servo drives, helical rack and an integrated dust collection system. Options include a 12-position rotary automatic tool changer, 32mm drill bank and a scissor lift for automatic loading of the machine.

MultiCam's New Plate Frame Construction

MultiCam iintroduces an all Plate Steel Frame base for our top selling 3000 and 5000 series Routers and Plasmas. MultiCam's new plate steel box frames are designed to improve rigidity and have the strength and stability to assure years of dependable performance. The main stringers on these frames are fabricated from 1.5-inch thick plate. This has improved the machineability of the base and reduced vibration during heavy cuts on the router. The rib design offers 20 % more support for the standard phenolic or optional T plate clamping tables. Machined mounts for optional pop up pins to align material blanks are now standard. All base frame designs have extra available stroke in the X-axis to accommodate full coverage of optional boring units. Heavy-duty forklift tubes are standard. Work surface height is maintained at 32 inches, which is an optimal ergonomic level.

5000 Series Cast Aluminum Carraiage

MultiCam is pleased to introduce their latest innovation, an all cast-aluminum carriage for the Z-Axis. Designed specifically for the MultiCam 5000 Series CNC Router, the new cast carriage was created in Solid Works and fully analyzed to FEA Standards (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure optimum stability. The cast aluminum carriage is fourtimes more rigid, will eliminate flexing, and absorb vibration. The new carriage allows the 5000 Series to produce smoother more accurate cuts with heavier tooling.

5000 Series 12-Position Automatic Tool Changer

MultiCam is now offering a newly designed automated Rotary Tool Changer on their MultiCam 5000 series CNC Router. The re-engineered tool changer will now hold 12 tools, up from eight, is aggregate tool ready, and able to easily integrate with a C-Axis. MultiCam’s new 12-Position Tool Changer also has newly configured, more sturdy fingers designed for heavier HSK63F tool holders and aggregate units.

MultiCam Brings Home the Gold

TORINO, ITALY

Multicam Western Canada was involved in the cutting and construction of many of the materials going into the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic display at this year's 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. Sean Lawlor of MultiCam Western Canada said that a MultiCam 5000 Series CNC Router was used for the project.

MultiCam 2000 Series Laser

Multicam’s 2000 Series Laser machine is a versatile platform for full sheet cutting.  The machine is available with 100, 200 or 400 WATT lasers.The 2000 Series flying optic system is fully collimated for uniform beam quality in the near and far field.  The 2000 Series machine can raster engrave as well as cut out materials.
