MultiCam Nested-Based 3000 Series Router

MultiCam is pleased to announce its new 3000 Series nested-based CNC router. The machine features a heavy, tubular steel welded frame, 25 mm linear bearings and custom engineered steel castings supporting the gantry. Table sizes are available up to 60” X 240”. An 11 HP, automatic tool change, 100% duty-cycle spindle is standard, along with an optional 4-spindle, 32mm drill bank. All 3000 series machines feature a high-speed, simultaneous, 3-axis motion control system and MultiCam’s easy-to-use, hand-held operator interface. They are fully compatible with any of the popular cabinet software packages.

MultiCam announces new X5 Series Knife Cutter

Multicam is excited to introduce a new product to our current lineup of large format CNC cutting machinery. We are now offering the X5 Knife Cutter series of machines. These machines employ the latest technology in advanced composite construction. The gantry is manufactured from carbon fiber producing an extremely lightweight yet stiff and accurate structure. MultiCam Introduces the Helical Rack System Upgrade

The new High Speed Helical Rack system upgrade to the MultiCam 5000 Series CNC Router is very impressive. If watching the system move is not impressive enough, just wait until you cut with it.

The system comes standard with an automatic lubrication system that keeps a slight film of oil on the rack. The lubrication system is required to reliably achieve the velocity that the machine is capable of. With speeds of 2000 ipm single axis and 2800 maximum rapid traverse the Helical Rack System can get to a full speed move within 4.44 inches.

Tony McGrew promoted to Engineering Manager

Tony McGrew has been with MultiCam since 1995. He started out in Tech Support and was quickly promoted to Tech Support Manager. After a few years with MultiCam, Tony ran his own CNC job shop for a while adding to his knowledge and experience of the CNC industry. He returned to MultiCam where he has been managing both Tech Support and Quality Control for the last few years. Tony's new role will be managing the Engineering department. MultiCam continues rapid expansion in 2004

In the first half of 2004, employment again grew by an additional 25% to approximately 125 employees. In July of this year, when faced with a need to again expand, MultiCam acquired an additional 14,000 sq. ft. corporate demonstration and training facility.

MultiCam adds new high speed horizontal
machining center

Multicam took delivery in April of a new high speed horizontal machining center. The machine was purchased from Giddings and Lewis a company belonging to the ThyssenKrup MetalCutting group Fond du Lac, WI. The machine will automate the multi planar machining of the new cast gantry risers for the 1, 3, and 5000 series of CNC routers. Multicam is committed to investing in automation to remain competitive in our global economy.

MultiCam announces new CNC liner cutter machine

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA

Multicam, LP introduced a new process of cutting duct liner at the 2004 AHR Expo. The machine is faster, cleaner, quieter and less expensive than currently available techniques, and has been greeted with great interest by the HVAC industry.
